New Patients

How do I become a patient?
Welcome to Reflect Health. We understand that reaching out for support is a significant and often vulnerable step. These steps are designed to ensure we connect you with the right support, setting a strong foundation for your care.
Once you’ve started the process, you can always email us at admin@reflecthealth.com.au to check on your progress. Please include your full name and date of birth in your email so we can easily locate your file.
Please note: We are currently at capacity for 3rd party referrals funded by NDIS, TAC, Worksafe, and referrals that are undergoing court proceedings. We kindly ask that you inform us of such circumstances when submitting your referral. If this information is not disclosed upfront and a referral is initially accepted, we may unfortunately need to reject it later upon discovery.
From Referral to Your First Session

Email Us Your GP Referral:
- Email us a comprehensive referral from your GP, including your medical and mental health history.
- For couples and family counselling, a GP referral is not required; you can self-refer by emailing us your reason for seeking therapy.
Referral Review & Allocation (allow up to 4 weeks for this process):
- As a private clinic with specialist clinicians and a high volume of referrals, we carefully review each referral to find the best-suited clinician for your specific needs.
- Not all clinicians are accepting new referrals at all times. We will match you to the best-suited, first available clinician, and you can always say no if this match is not suitable.
- This process also helps us gauge risk, as we are not a crisis centre and operate from 9 AM to 5 PM, meaning we cannot take on high-risk referrals which requires immediate intervention.
Allocation Result & Intake Forms:
We’ll SMS you the outcome of your allocation.
- If successful: We’ll email intake forms.
- If unsuccessful: We will request via SMS that you book with your GP, as we will inform them of our best recommendation for your next steps.
Booking Your First Appointment:
Once forms are back, call us to book.Â
Deposit & Confirmation:
We’ll collect a deposit at booking, which goes towards your first session. You’ll receive an appointment confirmation via SMS and email.
Prepare for Your Session:
We will send you an SMS and email reminder 3 business days before your appointment.

Important: Our Cancellation Policy
Please note our 2-business day cancellation policy. If you cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 2 business days’ notice, a full fee will be charged. This policy is in place because the clinician has reserved this time specifically for you, and without sufficient notice, other patients needing a session are unable to access that valuable time slot.
